I-m introverted- soft-spoken- and prefer deep conversations. I love animals and spending time outdoors. I find myself to be most authentic when I’m reflecting on the Signs of Allah -SWT- in the Qur’an- in nature- in people- and in history. Otherwise- I love hearing stories from other people- particularly stories about their lives- their struggles- and their highlights. Some of my interests include: reciting Qur’an- attending halaqaat- walking- hiking- reading- poetry-Qasaid- learning Arabic- and baking. I enjoy reflecting on the ayaat of Allah -SWT- in the Qur-an and in nature and having discussions with close friends about our reflections. I enjoy talking about Islam with non-Muslims and Muslims alike and volunteering for causes important to me. In terms of my career- I enjoy spending time with my patients and their families- talking about their diagnoses- and listening to their concerns. My patients are my teachers too- and I-m so grateful to be working in a field where I can be in the room to in sha Allah bring comfort to a grieving parent or sit with a child as she cries in pain. I’m passionate about reciting the Qur’an and would like to continue learning the Deen at an academic level. I’m also passionate about volunteering for different Islamic causes. I hope to use what Allah -SWT- has blessed me of skills and knowledge in the realm of medicine to serve my community here and the Muslims abroad- in whatever capacity I can in sha Allah. I am eager to improve myself. I try to ask those closest to me for feedback on my interactions with them and where I have gone wrong. Every human being that was placed in my life was placed there with purpose and I want to maximize the benefits of interacting with them in sha Allah.
