About me
-
I live in Texas- USA for now- though I plan to relocate to Saudi Arabia this year- inshaAllah. I work in IT-cybersecurity and academic research. Where am I from: Ethnically- I am American Muslim -asmari- but I grew up amongst non-Muslims. Alhamdulillah- Allah continues to guide me. But where are you really from- Hehehe. My family has been in the United States for at least 200 years. I normally say I’m a bedouin from a long line of bedouin. I’ve lived in more than 14 cities including in the USA -Dallas and Washington- DC- NYC-- Saudi Arabia -Dhahran and Al Khobar-. Both my American parents also lived in many cities. All four of my grandparents lived in more than 4 cities. Etc. We have roots in Hawaii- India- and even Jeddah. Many people from Mali- Sudan- and Ethiopia have said I look just like one of their siblings or cousins. So… yeah. I am from the Earth. Each place has taught me something new about people- responsibility- and myself. Each step in my career has shaped my discipline- focus- and work ethic. Alhamdulillah- I inherited my sense of taking responsibility- leading and hard work from my amazing parents -May Allah have mercy on them-. I was raised to value excellence in education- dignity in character- and service to Allah and the ummah. Allah has blessed me to earn my Bachelors in IT- Masters in Computer Science and PhD Computer Science.. I enjoy work that challenges the mind and benefits the Ummah- and I try to use my skills to contribute positively wherever I can.
About my partner
-
Bismillah. I am seeking a spouse of tranquility and mercy with whom I can build a home grounded in Qur’an and Sunnah. I want someone who wishes to support and grow with me toward Allah. 3 Things I want in my relationship 1. Joy-positive energy-Optimism - I want us to be a husband and wife team insanely believing we can make the world better- even if its with some small invention or scientific discovery. Or at least- my wife should act as if she believes in my goals to the point where I go out there and make it work. 2. Teamwork - Trust that I got her back and she has mine and we are working towards a common goal. 3. Open communication that results in intellectual stimulation - There is something really attractive about discussing personal vulnerabilities as well as discussing big ideas. I mean … when we can talk honestly about how we feel about one another- how we feel about ideas- about Allah- about the planets and the stars ... and know that its a safe space- and no one is going to be criticized- and better yet- that she will understand and vibe ... and I will understand and vibe-empathize with her ... the kind of relationship that our mother Khadijah -RA- and our beloved Prophet -s.a.w.s.- had.
