About me
-
I’m an African American Muslimah raised upon the Quran and Sunnah by my parents. I’ve recently moved back to Egypt in order to acquire my B.A in Arabic Language. Simultaneously- I’m also completing my B.S in Informatics online. I have an ambivert personality- I’m very outgoing- lively- and jovial- but my personal space and solitude are extremely important to me. I love pottery- gardening- nature- cooking-baking- being in the home- and reading and writing literary fiction. I was raised upon the Qur’an- Sunnah- and the way of the Salaf by my parents. I had a healthy upbringing and am very close with my parents and siblings. I was homeschooled by my parents- and we did not have TVs- watch movies- or listen to music in the home. My extended family is also Muslim- alhamdulillah. My family and I have lived and traveled in many parts of the world- I’ve grown up- learned- and became friends with people from many countries- so I’m quite used to different cultures and languages. I’m fully practicing and perform all that is required of me as a Muslim. I’ve never engaged in non-Islamic or bidah-based practices like Mawlid- Thanksgiving- or New Years. I love reading Islamic books on different topics by reputable scholars of the Sunnah- listening to lectures- and reciting Quran. My family and I don’t ascribe to any single madhab- we learn and take from all reputable scholars of the Sunnah. Some scholars I take from: - Sheikh Ulthaymeen - Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali - Ibn Taymiyah - Sheikh Bazmul - Sheikh Maqdasi - Ibn Qayyim
About my partner
-
The most important quality I-m looking for in a potential spouse is taqwa and obedience to Allah. Not perfection- but someone who understands ihsan and actively strives towards it. I-m looking for someone kind- reliable- patient- and who will lead his future wife and children with wisdom- mercy- love- and place their Islamic foundation and cultivation at the forefront. It is a must that he has studied Islam to some extent and has firm intentions of pursuing more studies in the future. I have a preference for brothers between 19-26- have never been married -is still chaste-no children-- comes from a practicing family upon the Sunnah- and is either currently in university- holding a degree- or already working. Education of all kinds is extremely important to me- encompassing both Islamic knowledge and worldly knowledge. Someone who shares the same or similar hobbies as me- prefers to stay home to going out often- and is naturally calm would be wonderful. After marriage- I do plan on working from home in my field while keeping my husband and home a priority. Family planning is a must- and because I will be starting university in Egypt- I-m looking for someone open to delaying children by 4-5 years. I don’t have any preference for race- ethnicity- or height. Being healthy- athletic- well-groomed- and hygienic- however- is a must. He shouldn-t use social media platforms except for school-work-related purposes.
