A bit about myself: I am a simple brother with modest ambitions to improve our ummah. By the permission of Allah- I am looking for a spouse to support me in that journey. Born and raised in Germany- I went to the UK for my undergraduate and master’s degree- the latter of which I earned at Cambridge University -Politics-IR-. Al hamdu lillāh- coming to the UK ignited a zeal for knowledge in me- which I channeled into studying Arabic- hifdh- and secular fields of knowledge for several hours a day. If Allah allows me to- I wish to eventually benefit our ummah with the capacities He’s given me. My interests: I love learning about the world around me and the people- cultures- and societies that inhabit it. This leads me to contemplate how Allāh’s guidance could be conveyed to others more successfully- which- consequently- makes me read widely and increase in my da’wah to kuffār and non-practising Muslims. While I enjoy being busy and exhausting myself in studies- I too enjoy being around friends and family- whom I treat with a light heart and care. Other than that- I value spending time with brothers who are easygoing but also call me towards good. When I socialise with them- we may gather to spend time talking- get food- or go to lessons. On my own- I enjoy reading- watching videos- and going for walks. My future plans: I currently study in Saudi seeking Islamic knowledge. Depending on time constraints- I may take up a part-time PhD at my master’s institution. After having studied in Saudi -and potentially Egypt-- I plan on doing hijrah -either to Kurdistan or a country in the Arabian peninsula-. Given my academic background- I hope that- once I advance in my Islamic studies- I will be in a position to help Muslims guard themselves from many of the modern shubuhāt. For that- I have a range of academic writing projects and alternate means of da’wah planned. As for financial plans- I am currently setting up a business selling medical appliances in my home country. If successful إن شاء الله- that would supply me with a good source of passive income. Further- I can teach English and German at my university here in Saudi- which allows me to maintain my household while I work toward my entrepreneurial goals.
