--- Updated profile. I have written a decent amount about myself- and about what-who I am looking for- so that both parties can save time and get a clearer sense of compatibility.--- I am very ambitious with my personal dreams and goals- and with the life I hope to build for my future family. I tend to think long-term and stay focused on what gets me closer to them- which at times leads me to overwork myself. Outside of work- university- and seeking Islamic knowledge- I enjoy spending time in nature and doing simple activities like walks- hikes- canoeing- etc. Occasionally I try to go on bigger adventures- but that’s usually to take a well-deserved break and reset. I am naturally shy around people I am not familiar with- but once I become comfortable- I tend to open up- becoming more relaxed and conversational. Daily- I enjoy spending time with my family as they all mean a lot to me. As the second-oldest of five siblings- I take my role within my family very seriously- including supporting and advising my younger siblings- spending time with them- and helping with their day-to-day needs. At the same time- I enjoy joking around with them and teasing them from time to time- as I like to think that comes with the role as being their older brother. Alhamdulillah- in the past I have owned and run a few businesses which I decided to let go for either Islamic or personal reasons. But Alhamdulillah- from those experiences- I learnt that in the future I would want to own my own company-business. Now- I am studying two university courses -all of my classes are online-- with the long-term goal of establishing my own company Inshallah. The field I am pursuing is not location-bound- which gives my future family and me the ability to live wherever we please- allowing us to make Hijrah- if that’s what we decide on. Alhamdulillah- I was fortunate enough to spend a little over a year in Egypt- studying Arabic and Quran- which I am extremely grateful for. Although I have returned home- I still make it a priority to progress in my knowledge of Arabic- Quran- and Aqeedah. The type of husband and father I aspire to be is someone who my wife and children can laugh- talk- and spend time with as both a friend and a guide. I want to be actively involved in my family’s daily life- and someone they feel comfortable with and proud of. Ideally- I want my wife and children to be able to say with confidence and pleasure that “he is my father- he is my husband”- and to feel a strong sense of love- respect- and connection with me. Ultimately- I hope to build a relationship where my children continue to enjoy spending time with me even as they grow older- just as they did when they were young. I believe that a strong- warm- and present family relationship like this helps prevent many of the challenges that families face today. Please note that the monthly income I selected is not accurate
