I am a 33-year-old man striving to balance the demanding nature of a medical career with my ongoing pursuit of deeper religious commitment and sacred knowledge. I dedicate a portion of my time outside of work to studying Islamic sciences and maintaining my physical health through regular exercise. I also find deep spiritual solace and emotional upliftment in reading poetry that praises our Master- the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I follow the Shāfiʿī school of jurisprudence. I love to celebrate the birth of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ- and I draw inspiration in my religious path from Sunni Tassawuf. My spiritual nourishment comes from the legacy of great Imams such as Imām al-Ghazālī- Imām ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAlawī al-Ḥaddād- Shaykh Muḥammad ʿAlawī al-Mālikī- Shaykh ʿAbd Allah Sirāj al-Dīn al-Ḥusaynī- and Ibn ʿAṭāʾ Allāh al-Sakandarī- Habib Umar- amongst others. May Allah benefit us through them. My long-term goal is to become a true seeker of knowledge - one who delves deeply into understanding his religion and lives by its teachings both outwardly and inwardly- journeying toward Allah and the love of His Messenger ﷺ.
