My name is Abir. I am a BBA graduate- and I plan to pursue an MBA next year. Alhamdulillah- I regularly offer the five daily prayers. I developed this habit in the second year of my Intermediate studies- around 2016- and have been consistent for about 8–9 years. I probably started keeping a beard around that time as well. Currently- I have a full fist-length beard. I usually do not miss any prayers- occasionally- I miss the Fajr congregation 2–3 times a month. Generally- I have to make up missed prayers only 1–2 times a year. Last year- during a trekking trip to Bandarban- I missed about 7–8 prayers. However- Alhamdulillah- I haven’t missed any prayer so far this year. I started freelancing in 2017- initially working in graphic design. Later- after saving some money- I started a business in 2021. However- due to extortion by some local Awami League activists and my lack of experience- I had to shut down the business by the end of 2023. After that- I returned to freelancing. In early 2024- I joined a foreign company for a work-from-home job. Alongside this- I also create content for social media. I have around 460K subscribers on YouTube and over 1.1 million followers on Facebook. Since both my YouTube and Facebook pages are monetized- I earn a good- although not completely stable- income from them. I love to travel- especially trekking in the hills. I enjoy playing cricket and football. I like photography and videography. I also enjoy using new technologies and learning about them. I like reading books too — I read for about 15–30 minutes daily. Currently- I’m reading the novel The Alchemist. My younger brother is studying Computer Science and Engineering -CSE-. Alhamdulillah- he also performs the five daily prayers. Though he doesn’t yet have a full fist-length beard- he does have a Sunnah-style beard — about half a fist in length. Our family makes every effort to follow the rules regarding Mahram and Non-Mahram interactions. Alhamdulillah- my mother wears the niqab and observes the rules of modesty. Sometimes she also wears gloves and socks. I usually wear panjabi and pajama- kabli suits- and a cap. However- while traveling- I sometimes wear trousers and T-shirts. My father used to run a wholesale business of lime and stones. His office was in Katabon- Dhaka- and he had 2–3 warehouses in Old Dhaka. He also owned a crockery store. In 2015- he passed away due to stomach cancer- and as a result- all his businesses had to be shut down. In the future- if Allah grants a good opportunity for a job or business- then In Shaa Allah- I will try to pursue it. Ig: abirfayaz
