About me
-
Reverted January 2025 Alhamdulilah. I’m quite simple in how I live. I enjoy the gym- football-tennis- cooking- trying new food and spending time with the people I care about. I spend my money on creating experiences and working towards meaningful goals rather than constantly buying things I don’t need. For example- I’d happily save for months for a trip- Umrah or an experience rather than spending that money on material things. I’m someone who shows love through thoughtful gifts and little gestures. I actually prefer giving something small and meaningful regularly rather than saving all affection for birthdays or Eid. I like receiving thoughtful things for the same reason — it’s not about how expensive something is- but about knowing that the person understands you and thought about you. I live quite a peaceful life and I like it that way. I’m organised- I like routines- I plan ahead and generally do things on time. I’m not looking for someone to bring drama into my life — I want someone who adds to the peace. Someone I can laugh with- cook with- travel with- learn with and come home to.
About my partner

I’m looking for someone who wants to build a marriage around Islam- peace and companionship. I’d love for us to constantly help each other become better Muslims — whether that’s learning Qur’an- studying fiqh- memorising surahs and hadith- becoming more charitable- or simply encouraging each other to go beyond the minimum and keep growing in our deen. Ultimately- I hope to be a provider and- if Allah allows- create a home where my wife has the freedom and security to focus on her home- family and studying Islam without being burdened by unnecessary commitments. I’d love her knowledge of the deen to rub off on me- just as I hope my own efforts do the same for her. I want us to bring each other closer to Allah — including through things like volunteering together- feeding people in need and making charity part of our life. I also really value initiative. I don’t want a relationship where one person always has to plan everything. I want us both to think- “What can I do today to make my spouse happy-” Sometimes that might be planning a date- sometimes bringing home a small gift- cooking something the other person likes- or simply noticing when the other person is struggling and taking some of the weight off them. I also believe effort in a marriage won’t always be 50-50. Sometimes I’ll have a difficult period and need more from you- and sometimes you will need more from me. If you’re exhausted- unwell- overwhelmed or simply having a difficult time- I want to be the person who recognises that rather than taking it personally. I’d hope we can give each other extra support when it’s needed and pick each other up. Communication is very important to me. I’m quite honest and direct- so if something is bothering me- I’d rather talk about it respectfully in the moment than keep it inside and allow resentment to build. At the same time- I want someone who can remain composed during difficult conversations and genuinely wants to resolve problems rather than win arguments. I also believe our problems should remain between us as much as possible. I don’t want our marriage to become a situation where family or friends are involved in every disagreement.
