I would describe myself as fairly reserved when I first meet people- but once I-m comfortable- I-m much more relaxed- talkative- and enjoy spending time with those close to me. I-m definitely more of a homebody and appreciate the simple things in life. Most of the time- you-ll find me spending time with my family. Alhamdulillah- I have lots of nieces and nephews- and I love being around them- making memories together- and watching them grow. When I-m not with family- I enjoy baking and trying new recipes. Lately- I-ve especially been enjoying bread making—there-s something really satisfying about learning the process and seeing it all come together. Growing up- my family made hijrah to Egypt- where we spent much of my early years. Alhamdulillah- I memorised the Qur-an- learnt Arabic- and studied some of the basic mutūn. As I-ve gotten older- my focus has been on maintaining and improving my hifdh while continuing to seek knowledge by attending classes whenever I-m able. Alhamdulillah- I would describe my Islamic practice as steady. I-m far from perfect- but I strive to be consistent and always look for ways to improve. I ask Allah to keep me steadfast and allow me to continue growing in my deen.
