I sometimes feel like I’m the unlucky one—always ending up hurt despite my best intentions. In 2022- I had an arranged marriage. Just two days into the marriage- during the Walima stage- I discovered a permanent tattoo on my ex-wife related to a non-Muslim man from her past. It was very disturbing for me- but I chose to give her a chance. I believe everyone can make mistakes- and true repentance means those mistakes shouldn’t be repeated. I asked her to remove the tattoo and start fresh. Sadly- despite this- she continued to deceive me. I found out she was using two mobile phones to hide ongoing communication and had a history of multiple affairs- which didn’t stop even after marriage. I addressed everything with patience and hoped she would change- but she chose to walk away. We’ve had no contact for over two years now.
