About me
-
Alsalam alaikoum I’ve always been academically inclined- which helped carry me through a BSc in Electrical - Electronics Engineering and an MSc in Computer Science alhamdulilah. I now work full-time in my field and have been settled in the UK for the past 10 years as a permanent resident. I-m planning- inshaAllah- to relocate closer-to London in the near future. Note- I-m happy to travel to meet someone face-to-face if we deem initial compatibility. Faith is at the centre of my life- nothing comes before Islam. Allah has blessed me with consistency in prayer- including Sunnah prayers- and I try to maintain a daily connection to the Qur’an. I make a conscious effort to grow spiritually and stay close to Allah in everything I do. Personality-wise- people often describe me as calm- observant- emotionally intelligent- and reserved. I would also say I’m introspective- affectionate and romantic- reliable- and someone who likes to do things properly with integrity- not half-hearted effort. Cleanliness and tidiness matter to me- both physically and mentally. I believe in taking care of my space and my body. I enjoy fitness and working out- and although life has been busy the last few years- I’m slowly getting back into some of my older hobbies. I don-t smoke and never have. In fact- I tend to avoid social settings where smoking or shisha is the main activity- I-d rather have meaningful conversations or connect in more productive ways. When it comes to family and marriage- I believe in a traditional Islamic household structure. I take the responsibility Allah has placed on men of leadership- provision- and fatherhood very seriously. If Allah blesses me with children- I want to be a present and proactive father- actively shaping their upbringing with love and consistency. I also have a strong interest in politics and global affairs- especially in light of what’s been unfolding in the Muslim world. I follow a lot of geopolitical and regional analysis through podcasts and long-form content- not out of pessimism- but because I believe being informed is part of being responsible in today’s world.
About my partner
-
When it comes to what I-m hoping for in a wife- I-m looking for a practicing Muslimah who centres her life around pleasing Allah- someone who prays consistently- dresses modestly- and values her relationship with her deen above worldly trends. Ideally- you-re someone who wears hijab with conviction and carry yourself with modesty in both public and private settings. Character matters deeply to me. I appreciate someone calm- emotionally intelligent- affectionate- romantic- soft-spoken- and patient- qualities I strive to embody as well. I value kindness- stability- and someone who can remain composed during difficult conversations. I’d love to build a home where communication is open- respectful- and rooted in mutual trust- not raised voices- shouting competitions- or emotional volatility. I admire femininity in the traditional Islamic sense- not in a superficial way- but in someone who is nurturing- grounded- and values harmony in her home. I-m looking for a partner who understands the responsibilities of marriage- sees the beauty in compromise- and wants to build something real and lasting. Mutual boundaries are important. Just as I don-t maintain friendships with women- I expect the same commitment in return with regards to male friendships. And finally- I want us to be best friends in the truest sense. Someone I can laugh with- grow with- reflect with- even sit in peaceful silence with. A wife who I can confide in and be emotionally safe with- and who feels the same toward me. I believe that deep connection doesn’t require constant noise- it’s about comfort- trust- and presence.
