Do not complain to people about a wound you yourself bear- only the one who feels the pain truly understands it. Complaining to others- my friend- is a weakness. And who among us is free from ailment- If you complain to someone whose life is good- your eyes will boil with tears- and the one you complain to is but an idol. If you complain to someone whose joy your complaint brings- you add another wound to your existing one- a wound called regret. He who laments his fate extinguishes the light of his ambition. Fortune has no eye if ambition cannot see. And to whom else but God do we turn for refuge- seeking His aid and protection- Despair is not my garment- nor can sorrow break me. My stubborn wound heals only with the sting of fire.
