About me

  • I was born Muslim with Religious parents. However being a Muslim in America is a struggle and I was not close to Islam for most of my teenage-highschool years- I always believed in Islam but was too lazy to practice. This changed during my sophomore year of college about a year and half ago now- where I started to take Islam much much more seriously. I know feel like I have a connection with Allah- and have absolute faith that all my blessings will come from him and only him. I believe I have made a lot of mistakes- but I also believe that Allah is the most merciful- and that to be a Muslim is to have taqqwah and always put always try your best in the path of Islam. I try my best to constantly stay learning- I am currently talking tajweed classes- and trying to rememorize surahs I memorized when I was younger. I often watch khutbahs-lectures- and I try my best to pray in the masjid as often as possible. I truly truly believe that everything that Allah and his messenger -pbuh-- has ordained is right- and all thought I might not understand it there is a greater wisdom behind it. I am a quite nerdy guy- I am near finishing my 3rd year of uni as a bio major- hoping to get into med school inshallah. I am fascinated by the human body- no creation made my man even compares to that which Allah has made. My number 1 hobby just to be transparent is video games- I have been a gamer for most of my life. I do listen to music from time to time- it used to be a big part of my life when I was further from Islam- but I am trying my best to avoid-limit it. I love shows- movies- anime. Havent had much time for it recently with school- but if it is a really good show I will get engrossed. I used to read a lot of books when I was younger- but that is something I have not maintained and have been trying to get back into. I love engaging in deep conversations about literally anything. I have been trying my best to be more physically active- I have gone through multiple on and off periods where I fell in love with exercising- and it something I want to make a consistent lifestyle. I also am a big foodie- and love to cook from time to time. I am mildly interested in fashion- I like to look presentable and express myself- but nothing too crazy- but with school I don-t have too much time or money for that. I sometimes like to go for drives. Inshallah- I would like nice cars. I want to travel the world with my spouse at some point- I have only been to a few countries such as Canada- saudi- and pakistan.

About my partner

  • I believe a wife-s role is that of a maintainer- keeping everything in check- even me. Someone who is going to be a responsible mother. I think the biggest thing I-m looking for in a wife is intelligence. I want someone who is not afraid to tell me when I am wrong- or when they disagree with me. I want someone who is aware of their roles in Islam- and someone who pushes me to follow mine. But most importantly a friend and someone I can trust and feel safe around. I believe that as a husband- my role is to be the protector- provider- and most importantly a leader. But at the same time- the Husband is not a dictator. I believe a Husband to should be fair and just- and should treat his wife with respect and kindness. I think when it comes to marriage the verse I think of is the beginning portion of Surah baqqarah verse 187- " أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ ٱلصِّيَامِ ٱلرَّفَثُ إِلَىٰ نِسَآئِكُمْ ۚ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌۭ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌۭ لَّهُنَّ ۗ" -Your spouses are a garment for you as you are for them. Allah knows that you were deceiving yourselves.- I will be honest this interpertation of this ayah is not from my own findings but from a scholar whom I forgot- but I find this ayah beatuiful and want to live by and experience it. Spouses shield each other -like a garment- from the dangers of the dunya. I want someone who holds on to their faith. I believe Iman has its ups and downs- and no one is perfect. Just want someone who always pushes themselves to be a better Muslim. I believe that a Mothers connection with Islam is very very important for children. I dont believe that there is a such thing as a perfect match- or perfect partner- but instead becoming one another-s "perfect" partners. I want someone to raise children with- someone to grow old with. I believe that ups and downs are natural for a marriage and are inevitable- but I want to be able to work through those things and push through the other side only being stronger. I want someone that I can relax and by myself around- and hope they feel the same way.
