Assallamualeykum. I’m Abdurrahman- 24- born and raised in Austria with Sri Lankan roots. English is my first language and shapes a lot of my mindset. Born Muslim- I have been more keen in seeking knowledge for the past 6 years following the way of the Salaf- though I strive for more consistency and hope for a spouse who supports me in this path. I am a shy and observant person who can feel quite nervous at large social gatherings or spontaneous small talk. However- with my family or close muslim brothers- I am much more enthusiastic. My teachers and supervisors often praise my character and performance- and my younger siblings might describe me as crazy - lol. I am honest about myself: I still have a lot of work to do to improve my character. Since childhood- I’ve had a passion for technology and problem-solving- from building robots to crafting my own furniture to repairing things like our washing machine. I am currently finishing a high-quality intensive apprenticeship in mechatronics-automation- graduating this September inshaAllah- with job possibilities such as a PLC-SPS Programmer. Please note: my current income reflects my status as a trainee- upon graduation- I will transition into a fully qualified specialist role with excellent career prospects inshaAllah. I feel I am financially prepared for marriage and am ready to move into a- perhaps at first small- private apartment- inshaAllah.
