This world is full of trials and temptations- and at times it feels heavy and exhausting. Yet I never lose hope in the mercy of Allah. I ask Allah to bless me with a righteous wife in whose presence I feel peace and comfort. A woman with an open heart- kind and compassionate- strong in faith- generous in giving charity. Someone who calms me when I am upset- and whom I can calm when she is upset — so that our life is built on understanding and mercy. I wish for a wife who is dutiful to her parents- and who is both my partner and my best friend. Someone with whom I can stand at night in prayer to the One who created us- read the Qur’an together- and seek knowledge of our religion side by side — so that our home is filled with faith and tranquility. I conclude with this heartfelt supplication: “O Allah- You see me when I am alone. You know what is in my heart and how patient I have been. You are the One who knows what is in all hearts. O Allah- You are aware of my patience and my longing — so grant me a righteous wife who- when I see her- fills my heart with happiness and peace. Make her a source of goodness for me in this life and in the Hereafter.” As the Prophet ﷺ said: “This world is provision- and the best provision of it is a righteous wife.
