بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته I don-t see a wife as "her at home"- rather I want to rush home to her with her being my sanctuary- my companion- my priority. Marriage is not one sided- both parties have needs. A woman with children shouldn-t be struggling to find a husband. Women with children are welcome- doesn-t make a difference to me. I pray Allah سبحانه وتعالى blesses us all with what is good. There-s a lot to read through- I suppose you could say I like communicating- lol. Grab your popcorn and I hope you don-t fall asleep! Alhamdulillah- I-m a practicing brother who follows the authentic religion according to the Quran and the sunnah with the understanding of the companions and pious predecessors and who also finds joy in making people laugh. I have a full beard- dress appropriately and alhamdulillah I-m able to stand in my prayer and read the Qur-an in Arabic with a good understanding. I also teach Arabic at the local Masjid. Would love to teach my new wife- or maybe even for her to teach me! About the laughing- I am always laughing and try to be happy and jolly in my interactions. Allah سبحانه وتعالى is my protector- no need to show anger at those who upset us. I-m on a journey to better myself in every way possible. I lower my gaze firstly for the sake of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. It only leads to corruption of the heart and destruction. I try not to expose my heart to such things. I-ve just turned 48- although alhamdulillah I still feel like I-m 21 but with life experience! I was recently told by a brother that alhamdulillah I looked in my late 30s- of course he-s now my new best friend! Lol. I like to enjoy myself and have fun in a respectable manner. I like cracking jokes and bringing life to a gathering. I-m in touch with my emotions- and have a very sensitive side to me too. Don-t want to be feeling down all the time- alhamdulillah there-s so much to be grateful and happy about. I can say that I communicate openly- honestly and transparently- don-t lie and don-t need liars around me. I-m happy for people when goodness comes to them. I-m always the first to open the path to reconciliation and not too proud to apologise. I take responsibility and try to lead by setting an example. I-m not into one rule for me and another for you. The Shariah is for everyone to abide by- it is fair and I want to be fair. Living justly only increases the bond and love. Having love for each other is where happiness lies. Tasting Jannah in this dunya is where happiness lies. I do have my shortcomings- but don-t we all- The most important thing is that we try recognise them sincerely and try fix them. "All of the sons of Adam make mistakes- but the best of those are those who repent" From Allah-s favour and mercy- I have had the opportunity to have spent a significant part of my life in Saudi where I was working and able to benefit from sitting with some of the world-s major scholars. I-m not into refuting people- fighting or arguing about the religion- nor do I have or want those kind of people around me. My Shaykh in Saudi- may Allah have mercy on him- always said to me- "Just show the truth- guidance is not in your hands- it-s in Allah-s سبحانه وتعالى". There is no compromise with Islam- it-s the truth. Trying my best to fulfill what our beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم left behind for us. I offer all my salaah in the Masjid. Don-t celebrate birthdays or anything non Islamic- as Muslims we have the 2 Eids and our weekly jumuah where I dress up -although I look good in whatever I wear- lol- alhamdulillah-. No innovated practices- I don-t take part in such things but I try deal with the people who do in a nice manner- in a way that they-re more likely to accept what I-m saying. One of the many benefits from sitting with the major scholars is observing how they dealt with the people who were engaging in such practices. Working as an Data Analyst within IT Project Management.
