Trace Adkins- born Tracy Darrell Adkins on January 13- 1962- in Sarepta- Louisiana- is an American country music singer and actor renowned for his distinctive bass-baritone voice. He began playing guitar at the age of ten and was a member of a gospel music group called the New Commitments during high school. After attending Louisiana Tech University and working on an oil rig- Adkins moved to Nashville in 1992 to pursue a music career.

He studied Theatre Arts at the Lir Academy of Dramatic Arts in Dublin- Ireland- and trained in improvisation at The Second City in Los Angeles and Toronto. Reardon graduated from Mount Allison University in 1997 with a degree in Biology. In December 2024- Reardon publicly shared his recovery from tonsil cancer- expressing gratitude for the support from his family- including his wife- actress Meghan Ory- and their three children.
